Mary Cross emigrated from Portugal with her parents and was raised in the Lucy Cross House. As a young lady she met Preston “Pat” Hall from Foxboro MA while he was skinny dipping in the harbor. They eventually married, moved across the street to 396 Commercial, and had two children, Preston and Elena. Both Preston and Mary had an entrepreneurial streak, and they started several businesses in Provincetown including The Preston Hall Guest House, The Gift Box, Cinnamon Sands Guest and Pat’s Happy Park. In 2019 their daughter Elena Hall sold the town half the parking lot to create a park named after her parents.
The Preston and Mary Cross Hall apartment is on the first floor and directly faces Provincetown Harbor. Watch sunrise and ships sail by from the double bed or the exclusive use deck from which you can see Long Point and the cliffs of Truro. The apartment has a full kitchen, a large private bathroom with a tub, and air conditioning. It is the perfect get away for individuals who savor ocean breezes and the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep.
